Thank you for interest in our work.

BINGWA Magazine is a FREE children’s publication now focused on ‘fighting corruption by building integrity in the children of Africa’. The magazine is published by Child Africa, a child-support non-profit organisation whose mission is to ‘ help millions of children get quality education and teach HONESTY and INTEGRITY as a tool to fight poverty and corruption in Africa.’

To achieve this, Child Africa will spearhead integrity education in schools through BINGWA Magazine’s comics, stories, puzzles, competitions among other tools. It is said that strong values are best implanted at a young age and that is precisely what BINGWA Magazine is doing.

BINGWA Magazine Issue 12 2014 is now out! The edition’s aim is to celebrate the African child by observing the pain of the past, the thrills of the present and the promise of the future. Additionally, the content covers a wide range of topics, including lessons on success, leadership, integrity, fighting corruption, health and nutrition, tree planting, education among others. In 2014, our print run also increased from 10,000 to 50,0000 copies to ensure its reach to even more schools. Distribution of this particular edition began on the 2014 Day of the African Child (June 16).

We are currently working on the next issue of the magazine, Issue 13 2014 due for distribution in October 2014. The main aim of this special edition is to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) as we take stock of its achievements. This edition will also cover issues such as honesty, integrity, leadership, creativity alongside its regular comics, puzzles and children’s submissions.

A collaboration with Save the Children International (EARO) has enabled the production of both of these 2014 editions. It has also expanded the reach of the magazine to cover eight African countries – Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia.
